The Athena is the flagship of the illustrious and scandal filled Third Fleet. (That's a contradiction in terms, ignore that.) Fleet Captain Charles Robinson commands the vessel to the best of his abilities, which, at the moment, isn't much besides petting a stuffed cat. (A long story.) Read more in the Captain Logs.

The Athena has an illustrious history. It's first captain, Fleet Captain Joshua Patrell, who unfortunately lost his head while making an important command decision. (Literally.) Fleet Captain Charles Robinson was assigned to replace him. After an explemprary, if brash, showing on his first mission as Athena CO, his performance fell of, mainly due to billions of nanites slowly rendering him insane from the inside. (Yeah, what a lucky guy.)

Currently, the Athena XO, Commander BJ Phillips, has followed the tradition of egotistical Athena commanders, has not only assumed command of the vessel, but the entire Third Fleet. (You got to admire his ambition, no?) Whether or not the other two people who also claim that title will laugh at him or just snicker quietly has yet to be determined.
